On August 23, Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) Secretariat, released an analysis of China's automobile export market from January to July 2025. From January to July 2025, China's automobile exports totaled 4.18 million units, a year-on-year growth of 20% compared with the same period (January-July) in 2024. Specifically, in July alone, China's automobile exports hit 700,000 units, up 27% year-on-year and 12% month-on-month, showing an overall strong year-on-year performance.

The main driving forces behind this growth this year remain the improved competitiveness of Chinese automotive products and the moderate expansion of markets in Global South countries.
