At the booth of He'nan Qihang Hutong Trading Co., Ltd. during the 136th Canton Fair, an event focusing on the interpretation of China-Algeria auto trade policies attracted wide attention. Alami, a well-known influencer in China-Arab trade with over one million followers, was invited to host the event, delivering a professional policy sharing session for Chinese and foreign merchants. This made the booth a popular spot in the exhibition area.

As a top blogger dedicated to China-Arab economic and trade exchanges, Alami has over one million followers on his social media accounts, covering North African regions such as Algeria and Morocco. He has long shared trade policies, market trends, and cooperation cases, earning high credibility and influence in the cross-border auto trade sector. His participation in the event at Qihang Hutong’s booth stemmed from the shared focus of both parties on China-Algeria auto trade cooperation. He'nan Qihang Hutong mainly engages in the overseas export of new cars, used cars, and auto parts, with Algeria being its key target market in North Africa. Alami’s in-depth policy insights perfectly addressed the merchants’ need for understanding local policies.

During the sharing session, Alami explained the core policies in both Chinese and Arabic: “The import tariff for new cars in Algeria ranges from 20% to 30%. Used cars must meet the requirements of a maximum 3-year age limit, emission standards compliance, and obtain COC certification from Algeria’s Ministry of Industry.” He also displayed PPT materials including tariff adjustment documents and certification procedures, while supplementing information on China’s export support policies: “Compliant enterprises like Qihang Hutong can enjoy a maximum 13% export tax rebate, significantly reducing trade costs.”

The on-site interaction was lively. Khalid, an Algerian buyer, was the first to ask: “How long does customs clearance take for used cars? Is there an expedited channel?” Combining practical cases, Alami responded: “The regular customs clearance cycle is about 15-20 days. By declaring through the China-Algeria ‘Single Window’ for cross-border trade, it can be shortened to around 10 days. Qihang Hutong has mastered this process and can provide one-stop services.” He also answered questions one by one regarding auto parts certification and settlement currencies. Applause echoed throughout the session, and the booth was crowded with visitors throughout.ing, jointly injecting strong impetus into the development of the regional economy and society.
