China Automobile Exports: July 2025 Data Released

On August 23, Cui Dongshu released an analysis of China automobile exports from January to July 2025. Cui is the Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) Secretariat.

In July alone, China's automobile exports hit 700,000 units. This represents a 27% year-on-year increase. It also marks a 12% month-on-month growth. The overall performance shows strong year-on-year momentum.

January-July 2025: 4.18 Million Units Exported

From January to July 2025, China's automobile exports totaled 4.18 million units. This is a 20% year-on-year growth compared with the same period in 2024.

The steady monthly accumulation reflects sustained demand for Chinese vehicles in overseas markets. The July figure of 700,000 units is particularly notable. It demonstrates that the export momentum remains robust in the second half of the year.

What's Driving China's Automobile Export Growth

The main driving forces behind this growth are clear. First, Chinese automotive products have improved competitiveness. Vehicles now offer better quality, advanced technology, and competitive pricing.

Second, markets in Global South countries are expanding moderately. Regions such as Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America show increasing demand for Chinese vehicles. These markets value the cost-performance ratio and adaptability of Chinese models.
