Powertrain & Fuel Economy

The 2024 Highlander Intelligent Electric Hybrid Dual Engine Edition has excellent acceleration performance with the help of batteries. When starting, the battery quickly supplies power and the electric motor instantly outputs a maximum torque of 270N·m, with fast power response and a strong sense of push. During the acceleration process, it cooperates tacitly with the 2.5L engine, and the system's comprehensive power reaches 181kW. Its 0-100km/h acceleration is as fast as about 8.4 seconds — linear and smooth, with a comfortable driving experience — and the power performance can meet the needs of daily overtaking, highway merging and more. A gasoline version with up to 182kW and 380N·m is also available for those who prefer a traditional powertrain.
The hybrid's high thermal efficiency engine, a new "crosser mode" for varied conditions, and regenerative braking deliver exceptional economy — a full fuel range of over 1,220 kilometers, making long-distance family travel effortless and cost-efficient.
