Introduction

The VW ID.3 is a compact pure-electric hatchback tailored for urban mobility and medium-distance travel. Measuring 4266×1778×1568 mm, its compact footprint simplifies parking and lane maneuvering in busy city traffic. It delivers an elevated driving view paired with a low centre of gravity for solid handling stability. With a 2765 mm wheelbase, it creates generous interior space within a compact body. Engine performance introduction

The ID.3 is equipped with a 53.6 kWh LFP battery pack supplied by CATL, delivering up to 451 km CLTC driving range, well-suited for weekly commuting without frequent charging stops. It supports 100 kW DC fast-charging, replenishing 0–80% battery within 0.75 hours at compatible public charging stations. A rear-mounted electric motor outputs 125 kW power and 310 N·m torque, completing 0–50 km/h acceleration in 3.1 seconds. The powertrain provides smooth yet responsive electric driving feel. Standard regenerative braking improves energy recovery during deceleration. Battery heating system intelligently manages thermal energy to preserve driving range in cold winter conditions.
